The event started at 8:30 AM on 26 January 2024. We welcomed the guests as they arrived and gave them badges and flags. We also interacted with the children and staff members of the home and made them feel comfortable.
We started the event with the national anthem, followed by the flag hosting ceremony. Our president, Jc R Kirubagaran, hoisted the flag and saluted it. We all joined him in singing the national song, “National Anthem”. Then, our secretary, Jc S Akash Sundaresan, delivered a speech on the significance of the Republic Day and the Constitution of India.
We had some cultural programs, such as songs, dances, and speech. performed by the children and staff members of the home, as well as some of our members. We also had some games and quizzes for the guests, with prizes for the winners.
We concluded the event with a vote of thanks, followed by the distribution of snacks and drinks. We also gave some gifts and certificates to the children and staff members of the home, as a token of appreciation and gratitude. We took some photos and videos of the event and shared them on social media.
Hosting a flag hosting event for the Republic Day was a rewarding and memorable experience for us. We learned a lot about our history, our culture, and our community. We also had a lot of fun and made some new friends. We are proud to be a part of this great nation and its glorious heritage.
